A leader in natural silk from Japan and Thailand, innovating sustainable health and beauty solutions.
Established in 2003, JT SILK Co., Ltd. was founded by Mr. Hiroto Egami (江上 裕人), a second-generation silk industry expert from Japan, who inherited over 50 years of expertise and traditional knowledge in silk production.
Since 1995, Mr. Egami has traveled to over 22 countries to research and develop silk industry innovations. In 2001, he arrived in Thailand to transfer Japanese sericulture and silk production technologies to rural Thai communities.
In 2004, the company established an automatic silk reeling factory in Lampang Province, utilizing machinery imported from Japan. The factory produced high-quality silk yarn suitable for both warp and weft, significantly reducing silk imports by 10–15 tons annually, and exported golden-yellow Thai silk to Japan for premium kimono production.
In 2007, the company pioneered the world’s first “Silk Cocoon Beauty Products” made from hybrid silk cocoons developed by its own research team. These products include Japanese-style silk facial massage and cleansing cocoons and have attracted leading cosmetic brands in Japan.
From 2010 onward, JT SILK expanded into the Japanese, Asian, and European markets under the EU STANDARD, while also establishing an organic silk farm and hybrid silkworm hatchery in San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai.
The silk factory was relocated from Lampang to Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai, consolidating all production processes in one area to reduce reliance on imported silkworm eggs and to support local Thai communities sustainably.
Our silk farm is certified as an Organic Farm by the Department of Agriculture and the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
Between 2016–2023, JT SILK exported silk-derived ingredients and silk protein extracts to top Japanese cosmetic brands (Ranked 1–3), and launched the MAYUKINUKO and COCON DE REINE beauty brands in Thailand, available at Siam Takashimaya, M Floor, Cosmetics Department.
From 2023–2025, the company expanded its production and export of Natural Silk Powder to Japan, exceeding 2 tons annually, while developing domestic online distribution channels for better customer access both locally and internationally.
Today, JT SILK supports over 174 rai of mulberry cultivation across various provinces, ensuring raw material stability while enhancing the livelihoods of Thai farmers.
